"Install this update to resolve an issue where you may be prompted to activate a pre-installed copy of Windows Vista. After you install this item, you may have to restart your computer"
but it actually deactivates the pirated vistas and gives a 30 days notice to re-activate. And as usual this effort went waste, as these users are simply not installing this update. And by mistake if anyone install it, they simply use some cracks to re-activate without spendng even a single penny.

And as usual I would recommend everyone to use a genuine microsoft and even other softwares. Don't use pirated ones.

Yeah that update plus SP1 really messed up my Paradox cracked vista ultimate install. SP1 sucks too with vista, it killed the boot loader to dual boot into XP, even with easy BCD rewritting the MBR, itd give me the chance once until the next reboot.
It may be insecure, but Vista Ultimate RTM + Paradox crack with no updates or SP1 works well, and stays activated (besides updating device drivers thru M$)
Anyway if youre running a cracked vista and do SP1 and dont pay attention to what updates you use, youre just going to have to reformat and reinstall, theres no ways around it; SP1 crack, sorta works but after a day or so or the next time you connect to the net itll deactivate. fuck that fuck you too Bill Gates, if you made shit worth what you charge you wouldnt have to worry about people cracking and pirating your shitty software, but since we pretty much "need" you, people will always break you down. The world is smarter then Microsoft
